The pirates have invaded!

Very busy enjoying our guests and cruising long days. We’ve covered more ground in the last two days than we have in the whole of March.
Stopped here for lunch – it left a little to be desired as a mooring pontoon!
We invested in pull on wellies for the night duty/early morning Baxter runs. I asked G to label mine – hmmm … I still can’t tell my left from my right; but I am getting better at learning my name
More lively water and a few drops of rain as we moored tonight, bringing about cries of, “shut up” as I burst into song

I notice from your pics that a couple of those houses backing onto the river have ‘traitor’s gates’, presumably somewhere to chain errant children when the river is in flood? “Oh sorry officer but they like playing down there and I didn’t think there would be a problem”.
Got a Gangway at this mooring then, my I bet the water doesn’t form a puddle on that pontoon deck though!
Well done capturing that low rainbow, I know all the physics but I am always amazed that it is lighter beneath the rainbow than above it!
I’m not going to make a definite comment about the labelling of your Galoshes, except to say that a lighter colour of paint might have been better to see in the gloom? As it is, the ‘L’ and the ‘R’ look the same to me!

Red and green would have been helpful too! My first rainbow this year and I heard my first Cuckoo this morning too. It’s lovely to have time out from crewing for a few days
