Hi Jill/Graham,
We are planning to retire and move our liveaboard widebeam to France spring of next year and found your blog which is great. I’ll have done nearly 30 years in the RAF when I retire and looking at the photo wondered if either/both of you were also in the Air Force previously?
Kind regards
Phil

Hi Phil,
Firstly I must apologise, but I have only just found your comment on the above photo, how I missed it I do not know.
Secondly, yes I did serve in the Royal Air Force, I was an ALM, served on 33sqn, 230sqn both as a crewman mid 70s to mid 80s and lastly on 216sqn as Loadmaster mid 80s to 1990 when I was medically retired.
regards
Graham

Hi Graham,
No worries at all. I was multis as well from 1989 – 2002 but I’m sure we’ll have some mutual friends as I knew quite a few folk on 216 Sqn.
Kind regards
Phil
