After 6 years aboard our Narrowboat Matilda Rose in the UK, we took the plunge and shipped her across to Europe. After 2 years in Europe we knew we didn't want to return to the UK so took the plunge and purchased a 1902 20 mtr Dutch Tjalk called Francoise and are now continuing our travels of the waterways of Europe in a buxom wench

The last phase of the operation is now complete, the ferry is booked, 1400hrs 14th April 2014 DFDS Seaways Dover to Dunkirk, one way ticket: 2 passengers, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 car £35.
One nights accommodation in a Belgium B&B, 5km north of Nieuwpoort at a place called Middelkerke. €65 includes a sea view, unfortunately it will probably be dark when we arrive and when we leave.
Look out Europe here we all come!
